Optimize your workload with AWS best practices
AWS Well-Architected Review
wat kunnen wij voor je doen?
Well-Architected Framework
If you are a long-time AWS customer, or intend to start running workloads on the cloud, you can benefit greatly by applying best practices. In order to help customers achieve this, AWS has distilled these best practices into a Well-Architected framework. This framework covers all key areas and evolves as the AWS technologies evolve – the best practices of two years ago may be revised or supplemented by additional best practices today.
AWS selects specific partners who have the training, know-how, and track record to help organisations review their current set up and apply the Well-Architected framework. As an AWS Well-Architected partner, Cambrian will work with your business and technology stakeholders to review your workloads and help you improve your AWS environment.
This process, the AWS Well-Architected review, has been developed to help organisations build secure, high-performing, resilient, and efficient infrastructures in the cloud.
The Six Pillars of the Well-Architected Framework

Operational Excellence
The ability to support development and run workloads effectively, gain insight into their operations, and to continuously improve supporting processes and procedures to deliver business value.
Security
The security pillar describes how to take advantage of cloud technologies to protect data, systems, and assets in a way that can improve your security posture.

Reliability
The reliability pillar encompasses the ability of a workload to perform its intended function correctly and consistently when it’s expected to. This includes the ability to operate and test the workload through its total lifecycle.

Performance Efficiency
The ability to use computing resources efficiently to meet system requirements, and to maintain that efficiency as demand changes and technologies evolve.

Cost Optimization
The ability to run systems to deliver business value at the lowest price point.

Sustainability
The ability to continually improve sustainability impacts by reducing energy consumption and increasing efficiency across all components of a workload by maximizing the benefits from the provisioned resources and minimizing the total resources required.
The AWS Well-Architected Review
How will you benefit?
The AWS Well-Architected Review will help you:
- Realise substantial cost-savings
- Accelerate the pace of innovation
- Improve reliability
- Identify and resolve risks
- Establish alignment between IT & business

The 3 steps of
The Well-Architected Review
The AWS Well-Architected Review process consists of the following steps:
01
Identifying the workload to review – if you have a large environment, more than one review may be appropriate
02
Use the AWS Well-Architected tool to evaluate the workload against the six pillars of the WA Framework
03
Cambrian summarises the findings and works with the customer to develop a concrete plan to realise the identified improvement opportunities
The review will take approximately one full day and will be conducted alongside your IT Manager and Application Developers.
